Shipping/Wharf Assistant

Responsibilities:
Shipping Operations (Project Cargoes)
Provide support for the Operations Manager in outdoor field work, including loading operations of cargoes, attending to surveys, vessels inspection, repairs and new built delivery of tugs and barges
Coordinate with supplier for delivery of stores and spares for tugs and barges
Provide clear and concise instructions to Master / Engineer of tugs
Maintain proper and efficient records for vessel movement and fuel consumption
Upkeep the records of tugs supplies and assets
Liaise with MMO / MPA and relevant Maritime bodies to ensure smooth flow of certifications for the vessels
Coordinate harbour movements of tugs and barges
Coordinate the delivery of provision to vessels
Monitor and maintain tug and barge by providing required repairs and maintenance
In charge of agency appointment and agency work such as bunker call / operation call / owners call
Liaise with respective authorities (MPA, PSA and ICA) and ensure compliance with port regulations
Any other duties required by the Management
Wharf Operations (Liner Service)
Ensure that cargoes delivered by haulier is in good condition and in correct quantity
Loading/Unloading of cargoes using forklift
Any other duties required by the Management
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar capacity
Operation experience involving tugs and barges
Meticulous and fast worker who meets deadlines
Proactive and performs duties with little or no supervision
Responsible and strong team player who multi-tasks well
Willing to work irregular hours
Possess own motorcycle
Class 3 and Forklift license is a plus
Bahasa Indonesia or Bahasa Malaysia preferred
Able to start work immediately or within short notice
Candidate must possess at least a Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College, Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, any field.
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Jurong Port.
Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain, Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
